2016 Form 1027I (Internet Individual Income Tax Extension)
Questions and Answers
What is an extension?
Filing an extension changes the due date for filing your return from May 1, 2017 to October 16, 2017.

Does an extension give me more time to pay?
No.  There is no extension of time for payment of tax.

Can I file an extension online?
Yes, but if you owe tax for 2016 you must make a payment when you file the extension

What payment options are available?

Can I extend the due date beyond October 16, 2017?
Yes, if you have an approved Federal extension and have filed a Delaware extension application.  File a copy of your approved Federal extension with the Delaware Division of Revenue by October 16, 2017.  The approved federal extension will extend the due date of your Delaware return to the same date as your federal extension due date and must be attached to your Delaware return.
